Chillin' at the Cape

Long time no talk, bloggy friends!

Sorry for the absence, but I just returned from a simply glooorious trip to Cape Charles, VA. A cozy little beach town on the Chesapeake Bay. Sean and I stayed in a gorgeous house:

Hope you all are enjoying (what's left) of your summer! I am currently going through some major life changes that I'll reveal as soon as I am able. All positive things, or so I am hoping!

White Wine Lemonade Sangria

White Wine Lemonade Sangria

So, I had my birthday party on Friday night, and I made this sangria "punch"...it was such a hit that I had to rustle up a second batch mid-party! 

It was too good not to share with you:

Ingredients:

-1 bottle white wine (I used Sauvignon Blanc)

-1/2 liter lemon-lime soda (I used Sprite)

-1/4 cup lemon juice (I estimated)

-1 cup light rum (again, I eyeballed this one...I used Bacardi)

-1 cup water

-2 whole lemons, sliced

-1 cup strawberries, sliced into chunks

-Any other fruit you desire would work well!

Instructions:

-Mix all ingredients into a large jug and stir well. 

-Let sit in fridge for at least 4 hours before serving.

-Pour into tall glasses and enjoy!

How was your weekend?

Opening Day!

The Orioles season officially starts tomorrow, and as a Baltimore resident, I am SUPER pumped!

Sean and I will be starting our morning (I am leaving work at 11am and we are going right over) at this bar in Federal Hill....

...and then we will of course be attending the game, which starts at 3:05 at Camden Yards against the Minnesota Twins!

This will be a great start to this Easter weekend (even though I work Saturday and Sunday...but that equals a glorious Monday to do as I please!)

Are you a baseball fan? I am actually not a HUGE fan, but you can't beat the feeling of being at the stadium amongst all the other fans...so much energy! LOVE it.

Things have been crazy.

Work is busy, life is busy, and this summer is flying by without fair warning.

I feel like I haven't had a chance to relax.
