A Little Goes a Long Way

I can't believe I have been living in this city for over a year and just discovered this amazing secret. H & S Bakery bakes a variety of different breads and other products for companies all around the country. Their main baking factory location just happens to be down the street from my house (and the divine smell of freshly baking bread always makes me hungry whenever I pass by). Little did I know, the bakery runs an "Outlet Store" where you can bread and other baked goods at a ridiculous discount!

It seems a little weird, an "outlet" store for bread, but it is ah-maz-ingggg. The store is small, but filled to the brim with delicious breads. They are all fresh and not expired or anything. I was overwhelmed (and all by myself), so I only grabbed what is above:

2 loaves of whole wheat bread, 2 bags of sourdough dinner rolls, and 1 roll of seeded rye bread

How much do you think that all cost me?

Any guesses?

$2.

TWO Dollars.

That's it. I could NOT believe it. They have an overflow of products, so instead of throwing them out, they sell them to lucky residents like me. (They even have a 3 for $1 section--that's 33 cents for a loaf of fresh bread).

I am only kicking myself that I didn't discover this hidden gem sooner.

If anyone ever visits the Baltimore city area, PLEASE stop by this place. It is worth every penny.

Opening Day!

The Orioles season officially starts tomorrow, and as a Baltimore resident, I am SUPER pumped!

Sean and I will be starting our morning (I am leaving work at 11am and we are going right over) at this bar in Federal Hill....

...and then we will of course be attending the game, which starts at 3:05 at Camden Yards against the Minnesota Twins!

This will be a great start to this Easter weekend (even though I work Saturday and Sunday...but that equals a glorious Monday to do as I please!)

Are you a baseball fan? I am actually not a HUGE fan, but you can't beat the feeling of being at the stadium amongst all the other fans...so much energy! LOVE it.
